Thomas Laughlin 1834-? and Ann.

Thomas was the son of John Laughlin and his wife Elizabeth Merton. He was born in Rushford around 1834 and was living there with his parents in 1841. Like his older brothers, he seemed to have left home to look for work - in his case working on the railway.

In 1861, Thomas Laughlin (aged 27 and born in Rushford, Suffolk) was lodging in Waithy, Westmorland and working as a railway labourer.

By 1871, he had married Ann and was living at Mill Hill, Batley, Yorkshire (near Dewsbury) and was working as an "excavator". They had no children and may have been recently married, but the marriage entry has yet to be found. They have not been found in 1881.
