Jonathan Laflin 1806-1869 & Mary Otterwell c1800-?.
Jonathan was the fifth son of James Laflin
and his second wife Ann Ramsey, was baptised in June 1806. An elder brother, also
called Jonathan, had died in infancy.
In the 1851 census, Jonathan Laflin aged 43 and farming 24 acres was living in
Ringshall with his sister Sarah (aged 40), her husband James Pearl (aged 41 from
Rattlesden) and their niece Jemima (aged 26).
On 21 October 1853, Jonathan Laflin (farmer) son of James Laflin married Mary
Otterwell, widow. In 1861 they were living in Rattlesden and in May 1869,
James was buried in Ringshall. In 1881, Mary Laflin, widow, had returned to Buxhall.
