Anne Maria Deaves (born Laflin) 1826-1865.

Anne Maria was the daughter of Robert Laflin and his wife Tamar Bramford. She was baptised in Ringshall on 26th June 1826, although her father was described as a "shoemaker of Bricett", suggesting that family home was in Great Bricett.

Eliza Louise Disney

In 1841, when her parents were living in Battisford, Anne Maria (aged 15) was not living at home with them. She was probably working as a domestic servant and living in her employer's household.

On 21st November 1844, Ann Lafling (aged 18) married Robert Deaves. They have not yet been found in the 1851 census.

In 1861 they were living in a cottage in Battisford, next to Anne's parents and Robert was working as a labourer. With them were their five sons Walter (a labourer aged 13), Robert (aged 11 and at school), Joseph (aged 8 and at school), Thomas (aged 3) and William (aged 1). All their children had been born in Battisford.

Ann Deaves died in the winter of 1865 and on 20th September 1867, Robert Deaves married Eliza Louise Disney in Battisford.
