In 2006, I received information from David Squirrel, who is doing a one-name study of the Squirrel family, several of whom married Laflins. He provided much of the following information.

Sarah Laflin (their daughter) was born in the first quarter of 1839 in the Stow district.
Abraham Laflin was born on 10th September 1840 at Little Finborough and the birth was registered in the last quarter of 1840. His parents were James Laflin, an illiterate labourer, and Mary (formerly Archer). Abraham Laflin died in the third quarter of 1842.
John Laflin was born in the third quarter of 1842 in the Stow district. John Laflin died in the third quarter of 1867 in the Cosford district.

In the last quarter of 1858, Sarah Laflin and Robert Squirrel were married in the Cosford district.
On 8th December 1858, a wedding was held in the parish church at Wattisham. The bride was Sarah Lafflin, aged 28, daughter of James Lafflin, a farmer. The groom was Robert Squirrel, aged 25, a farmer, son of John Squirrel, a farmer. The witnesses were Susan Miriam Lafflin and Robert Welham, and all four signed.
