Alfred James Laflin 1870-?
Alfred James Laflin was the youngest son of John Jonathan Laflin and his wife Harriet Pereira. He was born in the first quarter of 1870 in the Richmond registration district and was said to have been born in Barnes, Surrey.

He has not yet been found in 1871, but in 1881 "Alfred Laftin"
(aged 11 and still at school) was living at 12 St Matthews Road, Ealing with
Old Brentford with his parents and brothers.
In the third quarter of 1890 (when he was 20), Alfred James Laflin married
Agnes Violet Worraker in the Brentford district. They have not yet been
found in the 1891 census.
Their son Alfred Frederick Laflin was born in the last quarter of 1892 in
the Fulham district. In the last quarter of 1897, Agnes Violet Laflin,
aged 28 died in the Fulham district.
In the last quarter of 1898, Alfred James Laflin and Sarah Sims were married in
the Brentford district and their son John Harold Laflin was born there in the
first quarter of 1900.
In 1901, Alfred and Sarah Laflin were living at 26 Montgomery Road, Acton and
Alfred was working as a railway signalman. With them were their two sons, Alfred
(aged 8 and born in Fulham) and John (aged 14 weeks and born in Acton).
