Alfred Laflin 1827-1893
Alfred was the son of Jonathan Laflin and his wife Hannah Laflin and was baptised in Ringshall on 25th May 1827.

In 1841, Alfred Laflin, aged 12, was living in Ringshall
with his parents.
On 18 October 1851, Alfred Laflin, age 24, son of Jonathan, married Rebecca
Payne, age 22, in Wattisham parish church (in the Cosford registraion district).
The marriage was witnessed by Edly Laflin (his sister Adelaide) and Jabez Palmer.
In 1861, Alfred and Rebecca Laughflin were living in Ipswich Road, Belstead and Alfred
was working as an agricultural labourer. With them was their three-year-old daughter
Ellen.
Rebecca Lafling, age 33, died in the third quarter of 1866 in the Samford district.
In the third quarter of 1868, Alfred Laflin married Emma Smith in the Ipswich district.
In 1881, Alfred and Emma Laflin were living in 3 Waterloo Street, Ipswich and Alfred was
working as a farm labourer. With them was Emma's daughter Jane Smith (an unmarried
domestic servant aged 20).
In 1891, Alfred and Emma Laughlin were living at Wallace Road, Ipswich and Alfred was
working as a general labourer.
In the second quarter of 1893, Alfred Laflin, aged 68, died in the Ipswich district.
