In 1851, Fredrick Laflin (aged 6) was living with his parents in Battisford Tye and in 1861, Frederick Laflin (now an unmarried labourer aged 16) was living with them in Battisford. He has not been found in 1871.

In the second quarter of 1879 Frederick Laflin married Julia Wilgoss in the Marylebone district and probably settled there. Julia Edith B. Laflin was born in the last quarter of 1879 in the Marylebone district.

Frederick has not been found in 1881, but his wife and daughter were living at 4 Little Union Place, Marylebone. The head of the household was Rhoda Wilcox, married and aged 74, and with her were her daughter Julia Laflae (aged 29) and her grand-daughter Edith Laflae (aged 1).

Rhoda Maud Langdon was born in the last quarter of 1881 in the Marylebone district. Marie Louise Laflin was born in the last quarter of 1883 in the same district and George Platen D. Laflin was born in the second quarter of 1888 in the same district.

In 1891, Frederick and Julia Laflin were living in 4 Little Union Place, Marylebone and Frederick was working as a packer. With them were their four children, Edith (aged 11), Rhoda (aged 9), Maria (aged 7) and George (aged 2 months) and the three girls were at school. Also in the household were James Wildgoose (their grandfather aged 75) and Rhoda Wildgoose (their grandmother aged 84).

In 1901, Frederick and Julia Laflin were still living at 4 Little Union Place, Marylebone and Frederick was working as a furniture packer. Their four children were unmarried and still living at home with them. Edith (aged 21) was an assistant mistress. Rhoda (aged 19) was a draper's assistant. Marie (aged 17) was a dressmaker's machinist and George was aged 12.

Frederick died in 1925.
