0n 24th August 1673, Bridget, wife of Jasper Laufland was buried in Edwardstone. If she were the wife of the Jasper Laflin baptised there in 1648, then they were probably married some time after 1668, but the record has not yet been found. After his wife's death, he probably married again and moved to Hitcham and later to Bildesdon. No Laflins have been found in the Hearth Tax of 1674, but they would have been able to claim exemption if their income was low enough.

On 9th January 1687/8, Jonathan son of Jasper Laflyn was baptised in Hitcham and on 28th November 1691 Maria Laflyn was buried there. She may have been a daughter of Jasper whose baptism has yet to be found. On 23rd June 1694, Benjamin son of Jasper and Dorothy Laughlin was baptised in Bildesdon and on 25th November 1696, his brother Abraham was baptised there. On 5th October 1704, Thomas, son of Jasper Laflyn, was buried in Hitcham, suggesting that the family had returned there. There is no indication of what happened to either Jasper or Dorothy after this, but he might have died around 1718 at the age of 70.

A Jonathan Laflin appeared in Ringshall in 1715 and is assumed to be Jasper's son. Similarly for the “Benjamin Laffley” who appeared in Wetheringsett in 1723. No further reference to his son Abraham, baptised in Bildesdon in 1696, has been found.
